Anyone have experience with Buy Repo Cars auctions?

Thinking about trying to get a used SUV from buyrepocars.com. The prices seem good but I've never used an online auction for a car. Has anyone here actually bought from Buy Repo Cars? Kinda nervous about the whole process, especially getting a clean title. Is it legit?

Yeah they're legit. I picked up a 2021 Mustang GT from them about six months ago. The process was way smoother than I expected. I was worried about the title too but it was a non-issue. The clear title arrived with the car during delivery, all handled by Buy Repo Cars. No chasing paperwork.

Seconding this. We got our Winnebago from them last year. Saved a bundle compared to a dealer. The pictures on the BuyRepoCars site were accurate, no surprises when it showed up.

My experience was mostly good. The only snag was delivery was scheduled for a Tuesday and it didn't show up until Thursday. The shipping company was a bit slow to update the tracking, but the support team at Buy Repo Cars was helpful when I called them. The car itself (a 2022 Accord) was perfect.

@Ctrl_Alt_Repeat That's pretty common with auto transport, not really the auction's fault tbh. The key is that BuyRepoCars stepped up when you called. That's the sign of a decent company. @AlexP_89 just make sure you read the condition reports on buyrepocars.com carefully. They are quite detailed.

My neighbor won a Toyota 4Runner from Buy Repo Cars and asked me to look it over when it arrived. I have to say, it matched the online report exactly. All the minor scuffs they listed were there, but zero mechanical issues they didn't disclose. Solid vehicle.

Just wanted to add my two cents! I bought my first car on my own through buyrepocars.com, a little Hyundai Elantra. I had a million questions, and I sent an e-mail to office@buyrepocars.com. They replied the next day and answered everything. The best part? The title transfer was seamless. Got all the docs with the car, no lien, no problems. It was a huge relief.

It's not just cars. I grabbed a Sea Ray Sundancer boat from Buy Repo Cars last spring. Saved at least 20k. The process is the same for all vehicles. Pay attention during the bidding and you can snag a great deal.

I found the bidding interface on buyrepocars.com a little confusing at first. Accidentally bid higher than I meant to (my fault lol). Emailed their support at office@buyrepocars.com in a panic. Took them about a day to get back to me, but the person who called walked me through how to set max bids properly. Ended up losing that auction but won the next one I tried for, a Subaru Outback.

Was very skeptical of BuyRepoCars at first. Read everything I could find. Pulled the trigger on a Lexus ES 350. There was one scratch on the bumper that looked a bit worse in person than in the pics, but it was minor. For the price I paid, I can't complain at all. I would definitely use them again.

Pro tip for anyone using buyrepocars.com - have your financing sorted BEFORE you win. They give you a short window to pay. Most people use a wire transfer. Makes the whole thing go faster. I got a decent deal on a Ram 1500 for my business that way.

Wow, thanks for all the replies everyone! This makes me feel a lot better. Especially hearing the positive stories about the titles. I think I'm going to go for it. Looking at a nice GMC Acadia on the Buy Repo Cars site now. Appreciate all the advice!

Good luck @AlexP_89! I bought a project GTI from Buy Repo Cars. It was listed as non-running and it was definitely non-running haha. But the description was honest and the price was right. It's a goldmine for project cars if you know what you are looking for.

My husband and I bought our family minivan, a Honda Odyssey, from them. The whole experience with BuyRepoCars felt very professional. It's an auction so there's always a risk, but they seem to mitigate it as much as possible with good photos and reports.

The inventory on buyrepocars.com changes daily. If you dont see what you want just check back in a few days. Patience is key with these auctions.
